Cristina Butler-Lugo is a dedicated and compassionate family nurse practitioner board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Addison, Illinois. She offers comprehensive patient care with over 12 years of experience in healthcare. Cristina has been a bedside nurse at Meritus Medical Center for nearly six years. She has had various roles as a nurse practitioner, including in primary care and, in general, bariatric and acute care emergency surgery with Meritus Surgical Specialists. Cristina has been a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society since 2020. Cristina was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and moved to Maryland in 2000. She is passionate about providing culturally competent care to her patients and embraces inclusivity and diversity in her care. As a bilingual provider, Cristina can provide comprehensive care to a vast selection of patients. Cristina currently lives in Hagerstown with her husband, three children, and two adorable goldendoodles.
