Ralph T. Salvagno, M.D.
Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Salvagno is a graduate of the University of Maryland Medical School and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. Dr Salvagno specializes in joint replacements of the hip, knee and shoulder. He has practiced orthopedic surgery in Hagerstown since 1987 and serves as director of the Washington County Center for Total Joint Replacement.

Roberta “Bobbie” L. Rothen, M.D.
Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Rothen joined our practice in 2001. She spent 16 years serving our country in the U.S. Navy. She went to medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and completed her internship at Bethesda Naval Hospital. Dr. Rothen completed her residency while stationed in San Diego. After completing her training, she transferred to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where she spent the last 6 years of her military career. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Rothen’s specialty is sports medicine and is the team physician for Hagerstown Community College.

Dr. Wayne Leadbetter, M.D.
Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Leadbetter is a graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska and completed his residency at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. His fellowships included National Institutes of Health sponsored Research Fellowship and the Asian Traveling Fellowship, sponsored by the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He spent two of his postgraduate years at Bethesda Naval Hospital, where he directed the adult joint reconstruction and spine surgery programs. Dr. Leadbetter has 38 years of experience in joint reconstruction, arthritis of the knee, hip, and shoulder, sports injuries, and spine pain. He currently specializes in all aspects of outpatient orthopaedic care.
