Ralph T. Salvagno, M.D.
Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Salvagno is a graduate of the University of Maryland
Medical School and completed his residency in Orthopaedic
Surgery at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio.
He has practiced orthopaedic surgery in Hagerstown since
1987. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic
Surgeons, the American Associate of Hip and Knee Surgeons
and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. Dr.
Salvagno performed the first total shoulder replacement at
Washington County Hospital. Dr. Salvagno serves as director
of the Washington County Hospital Center for Total Joint
Replacement.
Roberta "Bobbie" L. Rothen, M.D.
Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Rothen
spent 16 years serving our country in the U.S. Navy. She
went to medical school at the Uniformed Services
University of the Health Sciences and completed her internship
at Bethesda Naval Hospital. Dr. Rothen completed her residency
while stationed in San Diego. After completing her training,
she transferred to Camp Lejune, North Carolina, where she
spent the last 6 years of her military career. At Camp Lejune
she primarily focused on sports injuries, as well as general
orthopaedic trauma. Her experiences include working with
the Armed Forces boxing, volleyball, softball, and wrestling
teams, as well as the local junior college and high schools
and the semi-pro Jacksonville Raiders football team. Dr.
Rothen can be seen providing medical coverage at many of
our local high school and recreational tournaments.
