The practice was established in 1996
by Dr. Tom Altizer and Dr. Ralph Salvagno. Both doctors
had extensive experience in total joint replacement surgery
in their previous practices and felt a strong desire to
focus more fully on improving the quality of their patients'
lives through these procedures. Since the inception of
the practice they have performed hundreds of joint replacements.
Dr. Altizer passed away in the Spring of 2001 and is greatly
missed by his patients and those in the medical community.
His desire was for this practice to continue in the tradition
of providing quality orthopaedic care.
While Dr. Salvagno continues to focus on joint replacement,
the practice has broadened our scope of services with the
addition of Dr. Roberta "Bobbie" Rothen, a board certified
orthopaedic surgeon; Ronald Spruill, PA-C, a physician assistant;
Lyne Snowden, CRNP, a nurse practitioner; and Laura Blair,
PT, a physical therapist. We offer a team approach in Diagnosis,
Treatment, Rehabilitation, and Patient Education.
We welcome patients of all ages.
